Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 11, 2026
This policy explains which data the Bumply website (https://bumply.gg), the Bumply Discord bot and the Bumply community bot collect, why, and what your rights are. We only collect what Bumply needs to work. We don't sell data, show ads or use tracking or analytics tools.
1. Who is responsible
Contact: Bumply support Discord
2. Logging in with Discord
When you log in, Discord shares the following with us (Discord scopes identify, email, guilds):
- Stored: your Discord user ID, username, display name, avatar, profile banner and accent colour, your email address, and when you first and last logged in.
- Not stored: the list of servers you can manage. It is only kept in your login session so you can pick a server to list, and is gone when the session ends.
- We never see your Discord password. The login itself happens on Discord.
3. Server listings, bumps and upvotes
- Listings: the server's Discord ID, name, icon, invite link, your description, language, tags and NSFW setting, who listed it, member and online counts, and badges given by the Bumply team. Listings are public on the website.
- Bumps: when a server was last bumped, how often it was bumped, and when you last bumped (for the cooldown).
- Upvotes: which user upvoted which server, and when.
- Bump reminders: the channel and the role a server chose for
/reminder.
4. The Bumply bot (/bump)
- It stores which servers it is on, with their name and member count, and reads the approximate member and online counts of listed servers.
- When you use
/bump, it stores your Discord user ID, username, display name and avatar, as for a website login. - It does not read the messages on your server.
- It creates one permanent invite link for a server when it is listed.
5. The Bumply community bot (only in the Bumply Discord server)
- Levels: how many messages each member sent and their XP. The content of messages is not read or stored.
- Invites: which invite a new member used, who created it, when they joined and whether they left again. This is used for
/invitesand fair giveaways. - Giveaways: who entered which giveaway and who won.
- Welcome and leave messages show public Discord profile info (name, avatar, account age, join date, roles) in the Bumply server.
6. Cookies
The website sets a single session cookie (PHPSESSID). It keeps you logged in and protects forms
against misuse. It is technically necessary, so no consent banner is needed. There are no tracking, advertising
or analytics cookies.
7. Third-party services
- Discord (Discord Inc., USA): login, bots, and images such as server icons and avatars, which are loaded directly from Discord's servers. Discord's privacy policy.
- Google Fonts (Google Ireland Ltd.): the website loads its fonts from Google, which means your IP address is sent to Google when you open a page. Google's privacy policy.
- Hosting: the website runs on a hosting provider's servers. Like any web server, it may briefly log technical data such as IP address, time and requested page to keep the service running and secure.
8. Why we process data (legal basis, GDPR)
- To provide Bumply (account, listings, bumps, bots): Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR.
- To prevent abuse (cooldowns, bans, invite tracking for fair giveaways) and keep Bumply secure: our legitimate interest, Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.
9. How long we keep data
- Account and listing data: as long as your account or listing exists. Deleting a listing removes it together with its upvotes.
- Community bot data (levels, invites, giveaways): as long as the Bumply Discord server uses these features, or until you ask us to delete it.
- You can ask us to delete all your data at any time (see below).
10. Your rights
You can ask for access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, a copy of your data (data portability), and you can object to processing based on legitimate interest. Just contact us in the support Discord. You also have the right to complain to a data protection supervisory authority.
11. Changes
We update this policy when Bumply changes. The date at the top shows the latest version. See also our Terms of Service.
